123 pages, format approx. 21 x 21 cm, soft cover. The first contemporary catalog of its kind describing banknotes from the time of the Kosciuszko Insurrection. The catalog presents, among other things, the economic situation of the Polish lands in the second half of the 18th century, the birth of the concept of introducing paper money in Poland. The design of the first banknote with the date 1791, legal acts, the method of production and security of banknotes, the method of numbering and signing banknotes, their circulation and distribution are presented. A completed collection of treasury tickets from the time of the Kosciuszko Insurrection is also shown. In the form of color photographs, both sides of the banknote are shown, as well as a "clearance photo" (watermark). The following are added next to each banknote: date of issue, time of circulation, dimensions, numbering, description of the front and back of the banknote, type of paper, printing technique, authors (general and detailed design), printer, watermark and signature. Also presented are examples of, among other things, three uncut treasury tickets of 10 copper pennies (the "accounting zloty") and a sheet for printing these tickets. The catalog ends with a chapter describing and depicting the image of Tadeusz Kosciuszko on Polish banknotes. References to bibliography are included directly in the text. An interesting addition is the reproduction of a 1 zloty treasury ticket from 1794, printed on handmade paper made from cotton rags in a Duszniki paper mill, enclosed in a pocket.
