Warsaw Uprising (1944)
two-letter series AH, serial number 3781568, paper with a watermark typical of the 1941 issue - geometric pattern consisting of darker and lighter rectangles (Miłczak No. 14), with a later postmark: OKRĘG WARSZAWSKI / DOWÓDZTWO ZGRUP. IV
folded several times, soiled. A very interesting example of a forgery from the occupation era, where the series and serial number used for the August 1, 1941, issue were applied to a 2 zlote banknote from the 1940 issue, along with a commemorative stamp. This counterfeit was likely produced at the Polish State Printing House (PWPW) by insurgents using original paper and original printing plates, but it was not detected by the Issuing Bank.
