(1587-1632) 1671 (R4) var., Tyszkiewicz 25 mk; silver, 28.61 g; lightly washed, but a nice and very rare type of coin (the last two digits in the date are missing).
When compiling a catalog of Sigismund III's thalers, Jan Dostych analyzed several hundred pieces he was able to reach. Based on this research, he distinguished the images of the king present on the obverse. The piece described, although undated, contains an image of the ruler characteristic of 1629 (with a distinctive bow and sash). Hence, we can, with a certain degree of probability, expend the offered coin for 1629.
