Circulating coins, 2 gold, 1924 H, Birmingham; bust of a woman with ears, variety with the letter H behind the date; Cop. 2859 (R7), Parchimowicz 109b; local patina, one of the rarest circulation coins of the Second Republic in very nice state of preservation.
Commissioned by the Polish authorities and designed by Tadeusz Breyer, the coin was minted at the British King's Norton Metal Company Ltd. Ralf Heaton & Sons in Birmingham. However, later that year the order for the coin was transferred to the Royal Mint in London due to the poor quality and errors that occurred during the Birmingham issue.
