51 pages, A5 format, softcover, mint condition. The second part of the “Guide” catalogs 181 variants of thymphs minted at the Kraków Mint between 1663 and 1666. Each entry is accompanied by an enlarged photograph, including, among other things, a close-up of the eagle, the shield, or variations in the inscription; the degree of rarity is also indicated. The characteristics of the crowns—obverse and reverse—as well as the eagles (types), the letter types “T” and “R,” and the heraldic shields are also presented with descriptions in the form of photographs. This is the first such comprehensive study of the popular tymphs minted during the reign of John II Casimir. The guide includes a description and photographs of a spectacular forgery of a 1663 thymph featuring an inverted digit 3. The book is sewn-bound, with a print run of 150 pieces.
